Phillip Richard Becker

Phillip "Richard” Becker was born in Rifle, CO to Phillip and Kathryn (Romer) Becker. He entered the United States Army during World War II in 1945 and 1946. He also served during the Korean War in 1950 and 1951. On November 3, 1952, he married Violet V. Hielscher. Mr. and Mrs. Becker have farmed and ranched for over 50 years. He was a member of the Colorado Cattleman’s Association, the Numisti Coin Graders Club and was instrumental in organizing the Fire Protection District for his area. He enjoyed finding a bargain at farm sales. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all his Fairacres family. Richard died Monday, September 24, 2007 at Fairacres Manor. Survivors: His wife Violet; daughter, Peggy Henry and husband Mel of Joes; sons, Phil and wife Nancy of Greeley, Dick and wife Lillian of LaSalle, Tom and wife Debbie of Merino; grandchildren, Greg Becker and wife Shalyn, Jeff Becker, Amber, Cody, Wesley, Layne and Logan Henry, Nancy Parsons and husband Jim, Sabrina and Paxton Becker; great- grandchildren, Alex and Monique Becker; Jazmyn and Ryan Parsons; half brothers, John of Evans, Henry of Davenport, IA, Dave of Scottsbluff, NE, George of Pierce and half sister Kathleen Harcove of Nevada. Preceded in death by: Parents, Phillip and Kathryn Becker; step mother, Lydia; sister, Marie; infant half brother, Donald; half sister, Betty; grandson, Larry G. Nunn II. Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2007 at Adamson West Chapel. Visitation: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2007 at Adamson West Chapel. Internment: Sunset Memorial Gardens.
