Jack Henry Sievers
July 24th, 1926 - October 13th, 2007
Jack Henry Sievers was born in Cairo, NE to John and Frieda (Furstenau) Sievers. Mr. Sievers attended school in Grand Island, NE. On April 23, 1967 he married Pamela Steinke in Sidney, NE. During World War II, Mr. Sievers enlisted in the US Coast Guard. He served aboard a Destroyer Escort in both the Europe and Pacific theaters. Mr. Seivers was a civilian employee of the US Army for 33 years, and he served as a safety director for the Sioux Army Depot in Sidney. He also was a deputy safety director, 1st Army, in New York City and chief occupational safety and health, electronics command at Ft. Monmouth, NJ. Mr. Sievers was a member of District 6 Demographics Company in the 1980’s and a member of the Highland Hills Senior Men’s Golf Association. Mr. Sievers was a loving husband and father. His family was the most important thing to him. He was an avid sports fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, CU Buffs, and the Colorado Rockies. Mr. Sievers died Saturday at his home. Survivors: His wife, Pam of Greeley; daughter, Julie Bourassa and husband, David of Frederick; brothers, Donald Sievers and wife Sharon of Elkhorn, NE, and Robert Seivers of Palm Desert, CA; several nieces and nephews; and grand pets, Millie and Ali. Preceded in death by: His parents; a brother, Lyle, and infant brother, August Sievers; sisters, Arlene Sievers and Mary Schacht. Services: 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Adamson West Chapel. Inurnment: Will be held at a later date in Nebraska. Note: Memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Sievers Memorial Fund in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 827 5th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
