Jean M. Joseph

Jean Marie (Guden) Joseph, age 61, of Greeley died on Tuesday morning June 8, 2021, at UC Health in Greeley. Jean was born December 19, 1959 in Marshfield, WI to Duane and Elizabeth (Pacourek) Guden. Jean attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and graduated from Columbus Catholic High in Marshfield in 1978 where she was part of the pep club and mixed choir. Jean grew up on a farm in Marshfield, Wisconsin and as the oldest she took care of her 6 sibling’s. She worked at Figis and Pranges while in Marshfield. Jean moved to Colorado in 1984 and worked for JC Penny’s, City of Evans and City of Greeley Forestry division until starting a career with the US Postal Service in October of 2001. She started as a SVCS/Distribution Associate and went on to become a Postmaster in Henderson, CO. In 2014, she moved to the corporate office and took a position as a Sr. BSN Specialist. Jean married Terry Joseph of Greeley on December 31, 2011. Jean loved her family and adored being a grandmother. She was the best grandma Jean to her three grandchild and so many more that considered her as such. Jean especially enjoyed playing board games and hosting BBQ’s with friends and family. She was the most strong, selfless person and had the biggest heart. Jean loved to bake cookies and goodies for everyone and she took great joy in gardening, road trips, boating and camping. Her favorite camping spot was Angostura Reservoir in South Dakota where her favorite winery, Prairie Berry, was located. Survived by her loving husband Terry Joseph, son Brian Guden, grandson Landon James Guden, granddaughter Harper Elizabeth Guden, son Jeremiah Poppy, daughter Tiffany (Carl) Rogensues, father Duane Guden, her siblings Jane (Jeff) Hoeser, William (Margie) Guden, Debra (Scott) Hanson, Janalee (Dean) Johnson, Sandra (Brian) Fox, Sara Guden-Bills and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth (Betty) Guden, maternal grandmother Henrietta Gundlach, maternal grandfather Leonard Pacourek, paternal grandparents Arthur Sr. and Agnes Guden and two brothers in infancy. A Life Celebration will be held at 2pm on Thursday, June 17th at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave. Greeley, CO 80634.
