David Albert Glendenning

David Albert Glendenning, 80, of Greeley passed away at his home on Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born March 4, 1941 in Greeley to James Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Waffler) Glendenning. Dave graduated from College High in 1959 and served in the U.S. Navy from February 2, 1960 to January 28, 1964, receiving his honorable discharge. On June 4, 1961 he married Peggy Jo Redman in Greeley. Dave worked for Weld County Shops, Farr Farms and then for the State of Colorado as a welder for 36 years before he retired. He enjoyed bowling in earlier years, mechanics, electrical and was very creative when it came to welding and being able to fix the unfixable. He loved fishing and camping, especially at Chambers Lake, his dog Bubbles and time with family. They are members of Sherwood Park Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Peggy and their children; Billie (Wayne) Hardy and Greg (Renee) Glendenning, seven grandchildren; Christina, Tanya, Doug, Cassie (Phillip), Colten, Dalton and Allaria, seven great-grandchildren; Teresa (Josh), Kelly, Cristopher, Amber, Angel, A.J. and Anthony as well as his sister, Mary Elizabeth Asher. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward. Dave’s Life Celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 6 at the Adamson Life Celebration Home with a reception to follow.
