Ruth Faye Dill
July 23rd, 2021
Our beloved mother, Ruth Faye Dill, 90, of Greeley passed away peacefully Friday, July 23, 2021 surrounded by her family. Ruth was born August 13, 1930 in Loveland to Philip and Lottie (Eisenach) Frank and grew up in rural Loveland. On October 1, 1948, Ruth married Edward Dill in Sidney, Iowa. They celebrated 70 years of marriage a few weeks before Ed passed away November 14, 2018. Ruth and Ed farmed in the Gilcrest/Platteville area with their three daughters. Ruth worked hard on the farm and took care of her family. She was involved in her daughters 4-H projects and enjoyed coaching them in 4-H softball and volleyball. Ruth was a skilled seamstress who sewed many of her daughters’ clothes, cheerleading outfits and bridesmaid dresses. After retiring from farming, Ruth and Ed moved to Greeley and spent many days golfing, fishing and traveling. Ruth was a member of the Highland Hills and Boomerang Women’s Golf Association. Ruth loved going to the Elk’s club for card games and playing video poker at Central City. Ruth and Ed enjoyed traveling with good friends and family. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a special vacation to Great Britain. Ruth is survived by her daughters; Deborah Miller (Joe Kuntz) of Greeley, Sandra Clark of Laramie, WY and Cynthia (Rodney) Schaub of Fort Collins; sister, Gladys (Vernon) Sterkel of Lakewood, sisters-in-law; Viola Frank, Joyce Frank, Janice Frank and Marilyn DeLevante, grandchildren; Brady Miller, Mindy Miller, Matthew Clark, Jennie Clark, Kelly Schaub, and Holly Schaub, great-granddaughters; Kelsey and Courtney Rivera, Harley Miller, Kayla Metzger and Hannah Clark and one great, great-granddaughter. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers; Philip.
