Kenny Ray Kern, 62, of Carr, passed away August 17,2021 at his home. He was born March 13, 1959 in Greeley to Benjamin and Betty (Huff) Kern. Kenny grew up in the Northern Colorado area and attended Highland High School in Ault. He married Donna Wagner 1981 in Ault. They later divorced in 1988. He married Kim Landwehr in 1993, divorced in 1996. He enjoyed working as a mechanic or feed lot hand for Booth Land & Livestock or for Dewey Fortenberry. He was best described as a "Cow Whisperer,” great diesel mechanic or just simply having a heart of gold. His hobbies included working on the pull truck "Bustin’ Loose” as well as fishing and camping. Kenny is survived by his son Dustin Kern of Cheyenne, his daughter Amanda Kelly and husband Joe of Ault, his grandchildren Cole and Sawyer Kelly of Ault, his siblings Christina Peterson and husband Roger of South Dakota, Larry Kern and wife Dana of Windsor, Diana Kern Dervage of Carr, and Ronda Brown and husband Mark of Cheyenne, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private family friends service will be held. Friends may leave condolences for the family at adamsoncares.com.
