Richard Hays, 71, of Platteville, passed away on August 31, 2021 in Loveland, Colorado. He was born to Earl and Miriam (Speaker) Hays on May 21, 1950 in Greeley, Colorado. He honorably served in the Us Army and was a member of the local VFW. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He loved deep sea fishing as well as local lakes; he hunted locally and as far as Africa. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marleen Hays; children, Jethro (Ashley) Hays, Uriah Hays, Zachary Hays, Mike (Jen) Evans, Leah (Sal) Conca, Babette Lester and Toni Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brother, Cary (Joanie) Hays. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, John and Mariam Hays. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to help with funeral service.
