Glen W. Gibson, 83, of Greeley, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at his home. He was born on October 2, 1938 to John W. and Emma L. (Laufer) Gibson in Greeley. Glen grew up in Evans and graduated from Evans High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 – 1963. On February 5, 1965 he married Harriet Templeman in Pueblo, CO. Glen worked as a heavy equipment operator for 40 years and then worked as a maintenance supervisor for C-DOT for 11 years prior to retiring. He was a member of Journey Christian Church. He was a hard worker and enjoyed wood working and gardening in his spare time. Glen is survived by his wife Harriet of Greeley; his children Wade Gibson and wife Dianne of Greeley and Lela Gibson and husband Mathew Haltig of Evans; his grandson Jacob Gibson of Greeley; and his brothers Dennis Gibson and wife Sandy of Greeley and Jay Gibson and wife Pam of Whitesboro, Texas. He was proceeded in death by his parents and sister Anne Sughroue. A Life Celebration service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Journey Christian Church. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may send condolences to the family at adamsoncares.com.
