Helen Wolfe

Helen Wolfe, 92, of Eaton, CO passed away September 1, 2010 at Life Care Center of Greeley. Helen was born April 1, 1918 to Carl J. and Margaretha Leffler in Eaton, CO where she was raised. On December 4, 1938 she married Victor Wolfe in Eaton. They farmed in the Gill and Barnesville area and moved back to Eaton in 1996. Helen was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was the organist for many years and was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eaton. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, needle work and crafts. A big part of her life was devoted to caring for her son Larry. Helen’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by daughter, Lucille (Larry) Miller of Eaton; sons, Larry Wolfe of Greeley, Duane (Michele) Wolfe of Eaton; grandchildren, Lynn (Pam) Miller of Longmont, CO, Randy (Amy) Miller of Eaton, Vicki (Chris) Ruff of Eaton, Debbie (Troy) Carpenter of Tempe, AZ; great grandchildren, Carly Miller of Ft. Collins, CO, Krista Ruff of Flagstaff, AZ, Shawndra Miller and Keri Ruff of Eaton, Halie Carpenter of Tempe, Jessica Miller of Eaton, Mitchell Carpenter of Tempe; and brother, Walter (Bev) Leffler of Greeley. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Frieda Leffler. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2010 at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley. Interment will be in Eaton Cemetery 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010 with the funeral service to follow at 11:00, at Adamson Chapel.
