Bernadine "Bernie" Baugh
March 24th, 1933 - September 19th, 2010
Bernadine "Bernie” Baugh passed away 09/19/2010 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado after a four-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born March 24, 1933 in Canon City, CO to Leslie R. and Beulah B. (Harmon) Kelly. She graduated from Canon City High School in 1951 and then went to work for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co. In 1955 she married Donald Green of PA, they were later divorced. In January 1984 she married Gerald Baugh in Goodrich, CO. They made their home in Weldona, CO where Gerald farmed and fed cattle and she worked as a bookkeeper for the Weldon Valley School District, retiring in 1998. After the death of her husband in 2004, she moved to Greeley in 2009 to be nearer to children. Bernadine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Canon City and a 50-year member of Canon City Chapter #21 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one-step daughter; one sister; and one brother. Survivors include children, Doug Green of Salida, CO, Dale Green of Kimball, NE, Danny Green of Evans, CO, Doreen Green of Greeley, CO, stepson, David Baugh of Weldona, CO; stepdaughter, Sheryl Groves of Orchard, CO; four grandchildren; six step grandchildren; four brothers; and one sister. At her request graveside services will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City, CO. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the "American Cancer Society” in care of Adamson Funeral Home, 2000 47th Ave., Greely, CO. 80634.
