Marguerite Bunting
June 7th, 1918 - November 28th, 2010
Marguerite Ramona Bunting left to be with God on November 28th, the day she and Henry were celebrating their 64th Wedding Anniversary. She died at Northern Colorado Medical Center wearing the rose anniversary corsage given to her by her husband. She was born June 7th, 1918 in Emmett Kansas to Richard R. Gerety and Anna C. (Sullivan) Gerety. She graduated from Mount St. Scholastica and enrolled in business college both in Atchison. She was a bookkeeper for the Locomotive Company. In 1944 she enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was eventually stationed at Point Loma San Diego. She met her sailor future husband, both serving in WWII and was married at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Effingham Kansas Nov 28th, 1946. They moved to Greeley Colorado, Henry’s home town. Marguerite worked for the Weld County Clerk and Recorders office several years before becoming a full time at home mom. Survivors include husband Henry, daughters Erin Bunting, Maureen Larson (Mark), Trish Blaszkiewicz (Mark), grandchildren Meghan Diaz, Drew Anderson (Jenn), Russ Anderson, Leah Daugherty (Matt), and Dan Larson, great grandchildren Taleigha, Johnny, and Phillip Diaz and brother James Gerety (JoAnne) She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, John, Frank and Robert Gerety. Marguerite was a devout Irish Catholic, a pillar of strength and patience. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec 2, 2010 followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to "St. Peter Catholic Church” in care of Adamson Funeral and Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley.
