Janet G. Bashor

Janet G. Bashor, 74, of Greeley, CO passed away February 1, 2011 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado surrounded by her family. She was born December 12, 1936 in Toltec, CO to Pete and Lupe (Aguirre) Garbiso. Janet grew up in Walsenburg, Co and attended school there. She moved to Northern Colorado in 1953. She worked as a waitress at several locations in Greeley and as a nurse aid at Fair Acres Manor. She owned and operated an antique store "Jantiques” in Grover, CO. She was married on September 16, 1953 and later divorced. On December 12, 1980 Janet married longtime Grover resident, Clinton Bashor. Janet loved life on the ranch and being a rancher’s wife for 30 years. She also enjoyed scratch tickets, bingo, reading, particularly western books, poetry, puzzles, baking and especially spending time with family and friends. Janet was a dedicated Christian and loved Christ. She was a member of the Lions Club in Grover. Janet is survived by her husband, Clinton; daughters, Sharen (Walt) Baca of Greeley, Janet (Louis) Guerra and Kathi Renaud of Walsenburg, Theresa Waag of Greeley; son, Charles Archuleta Jr., of San Diego, CA; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Pete Garr of Cleveland, OH, Lasher Garbiso and Clarence Garbiso of Lompoc, CA; sisters, Mildred (Hank) Dauley of Tucson, AZ, Angie Alvarez of El Paso, TX; and sister-in-law, Gloria Garbiso of Golden City, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Saul Garbiso. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2011 at Adamson Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Adamson Chapel followed by interment at Linn Grove Cemetery.
