Joel Dean Graf of Greeley, CO passed away suddenly Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was born December 14, 1944 in Ness City, KS to Peter and Ruth (Steibben) Graf and moved to Denver, CO where he worked for Qwest, formerly Mountain Bell, as a computer programmer until his retirement. He was a devoted and loving husband to his best friend, Gayle (Wentworth) Graf. Joel was an avid outdoorsman who loved the mountains, fishing and riding his ATV. He will be deeply missed by his family, especially his beloved granddaughter, Hunter, who was his "little angel”. Joel is survived by his wife, Gayle Graf of Greeley; sons, Doug Graf and Dustin Graf of AZ; daughters, Wendy (Jesse) Bailey of Atlanta, GA, Shanon (Jeff) Henderson of Arvada, CO; grandchildren, Nick, Jeremy, Daniel, Taylor, Deena, Derek, J.T., and Hunter; and his mother, Ruth Graf of Denver. Joel was preceded in death by his father. Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to "Children’s Hospital” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue Greeley 80634.
