Leah Felker

Leah Felker, 88, of Windsor, CO passed away March 21, 2011 at Life Care Center of Greeley. She was born May 20, 1922 in Fort Collins, CO to Alexander and Marie (Yeakel) Kling. She met Emanuel Felker at a dutch hop. They were married on January 3, 1940 in Kimball, NE. Leah enjoyed playing cards, needle work, polka music, dutch hops, gardening and canning. She loved to cook, especially krautburgers and cherry kouga bread for her family. Leah was an avid Colorado Rockies and Shannon Sharpe fan. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Windsor. Leah is survived by her sons, Don (Dee) Felker of Aurora, CO, Peter Felker of Johnstown, CO, Larry (Peggy) Felker of Severance, CO, daughters, Diane Dietz of Johnston, Kay (Lenny) Scott of Windsor; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Urban; and a brother, Dick Mill, both of Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel; and daughter, Julie. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "Life Care Center of Greeley” in Care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
