Grover H. Adams
December 3rd, 1969
Grover Henry Adams, of Greeley, CO, a retired postal worker died Wednesday, December 3, 1969 at Weld County General Hospital where he had been a patient for one month. He was 84. Mr. Adams was born July 1, 1885 to Daniel H. and Eliza Ellen (Parker) Adams at Flat Rock, IL where he grew up. He married Martha Ann Pinkstaff at Springfield, IL on October 10, 1912. They came to Greeley in 1922 and he worked as a mail carrier, later going to Lafayette where he carried a rural mail route until he retired in 1955. He was active in both Odd Fellows and Masonic lodges in Illinois and also active in the work of his church here. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife, Mrs. Martha A. Adams, are two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 1969 at 10:30 a.m. at Adamson Memorial chapel. Interment will follow at Linn Grove Cemetery.
