Karl L. Adams
August 22nd, 1913 - April 23rd, 1965
Karl L. Adams, 51, assistant postmaster since 1958, died Friday April 23, 1965 at Weld County General Hospital. Mr. Adams was born August 22, 1913 in Flat Rock. IL to Grover and Martha (Pinkstaff) Adams. He came to Greeley at the age of nine. He was graduated from Greeley High School in 1931 and from Colorado State College in 1938. He served as president of the student body during his college years and was a charter member of the Little Theater of the Rockies, staring in many of its plays. He was also active in dramatics in high school and community dramatics both as an actor and director. He was a veteran of World War II, servingwith the Army in the Philippines, New Guinea, Nederlands, East Indies, and other parts of the Sough Pacific. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, past exalted ruler of Greeley Lodge No 809 BPOE, and Occidental Lodge No. 20, AF & AM and a past president of the Colorado - Wyoming branch of the National Association of Postal Supervisors. Surviving are two sons, Barry and Jeff Adams; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Adams, all of Greeley. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 1965 at Adamson Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Linn Grove Cemetery.
