Memorial

Gene Ellsworth Tatman, 86, of Eaton, CO passed away April 1, 2011 in Greeley. He was born on May 29, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska to George Lee and Zola (Plotner) Tatman. Gene was a World War II veteran who served in the Army Air Force as a Sergeant on the south pacific island of Guam. Gene was originally designated to be a glider pilot during the war but his vision kept him from this path. This turned out to be a good thing as he lived a long and healthy life. He finished his high school education at Benson Technical High School in Portland, Oregon. He continued his career in the electrical and electronics with Monroe/Litton as a computer technician. His final job prior to retiring was as a school bus driver for North Clackamas School District for seven years. Gene is survived by his wife of 50 years, Florence (Patzer) Tatman; children, Gregory Scott, Susan Jean Omori, and Michael David; two step sons Richard and Steve; his brother, Bernard; two sisters, Jennie Brightman and Edith Udalhofen; many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved very much. Be at peace Gene for you are with our Father in Heaven.
