Doris Arelene Naibauer
November 23rd, 1939 - April 4th, 2011
Doris Arelene Sierman Naibauer, 71, of Kersey, CO passed away April 4, 2011 at her home. She was born November 23, 1939 in Greeley, CO to Louis Scott and Margaret Lucille (Reed) Sierman. She attended Briggsdale School and graduated in 1957. She attended Greeley Beauty School in 1957. On April 5, 1959 Doris married Roland David Naibauer. They have five children, Diane, Duane, Dennis, Darin and Darla. Doris worked on the farm with her husband. She loved corn and beet harvest, but hated driving the trucks. She was owner and insurance agent for All-Risk- Crop Insurance which provided crop insurance across the state. Doris will be remembered as a great homemaker, and loving mother and grandmother, not only to her own family but many others. She was a room mother at school for all her children, a youth leader for Weld County Farmers Union, 4-H leader and 4-H softball coach. Doris loved to cook and passed this talent onto her children. She had a gentle heart and kind soul. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school activities. Doris was a member of Kersey Seniors, Galeton Ladies Bible Study, and Grace Community Bible Church. She accepted the Lord at the age of 8 at the Briggsdale Community Church during Sunday school. She and her sisters, Verda, Mabel and Joyce were all baptized together. Doris is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roland; children; Diane (Randy) Carlson, Duane (Shari) Naibauer, Darin (Kathy) Naibauer, Darla Stout, all of Kersey, and Dennis Naibauer of Gill, CO; grandchildren, Kendra Naibauer, Colton Carlson, Kim (Logan) Lacy, Derick Naibauer, Andrew and Jacob Naibauer, Taylor and Madison Stout, Danielle Naibauer, Justine (Austin) Wahlert, Jordan and Dalton Naibauer; step grandchildren, Chad and Nick Carlson and Tiffany (Alex) Shubert; nine step great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Norman) Peterson, Verda (Roland) Ball, Joyce (Kenneth) Krise, Mabel Baxter; sisters-in-law, Marian Sierman and Gloria (Jerry) Nestor; brother-in-law, Arnold (Karen) Naibauer; and numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lucille Sierman; parents-in-law, Rosie and David Naibauer; grandson, Dustin Naibauer; daughter-in-law, Stacey Naibauer; brother, Andy Sierman; and brother-in-law, George Baxter. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 at Adamson Chapel. Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Tuesday April 12, 2011 at Kersey Community Church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Doris Naibauer Memorial Fund” in Care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
