Sue Squires Adamson
November 16th, 1918 - September 8th, 2005
Sue Adamson 86, of Palm Desert, CA, formerly of Greeley, CO died Thursday September 8, 2005 at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, WA. She was born November 16, 1918 in Liberty, TN to Thomas and Beatrice (Odom) Squires. Mrs. Adamson was raised in Liberty and married H. Ross Adamson on July 10, 1942 in Nashville, TN. They moved to Eaton in 1947 then to Greeley in 1948 and started Adamson Mortuary. Living in Greeley and Palm Desert until the time of her death, Mrs. Adamson was a kind and loving soul who cherished her family and friends and she was a true southern lady. She was a member of the Garden City Chapter No. 3 Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, Rebecca Lodge, P.E.O., Daughters of the Nile, the Christian Celebrity Women's Club of Palm Desert, United Church of Christ of Palm Desert and First Christian Church of Greeley, where she was active in the Women's Fellowship for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Adamson of Seattle, WA; and grandson, Jeb Adamson Marsh of Breckenridge, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Ross Adamson, who died August 8, 2003; a brother, Frank Squires; and both parents. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church, 2230 13th Street, Greeley.
