Gregory William Schluter

Gregory William Schluter, 58, of Greeley, CO died after a long illness June 23, 2011 at Grace Pointe Continuing Care Center in Greeley. He was born November 14, 1952 in Greeley to Donald and Darlene (Peterson) Schluter. Greg grew up and attended schools in Greeley, graduating from Greeley West High School in 1970. He continued his education at Mesa Junior College in Grand Junction, CO then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado to study Business Marketing. Greg was Sr. Vice President of Investments at Smith Barney, a past president of the American Cancer Society of Colorado, and was a member of Cherry Hills Community Church and Greeley Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed being active in sports, traveling, and will be remembered by his family as a Christian man, and a great big brother and son. Greg enjoyed life. He is survived by his parents, Don and Darlene Schluter of Greeley; three brothers, Randy Schluter of Greeley, Steve Schluter and wife Tonia of Pennsylvania, and Rod Schluter and wife Annie of Denver; three nephews and six nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. An Inurnment Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "American Cancer Society” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
