Helen E. Norton, 93, of Greeley, CO passed away June 26, 2011 at Fair Acres Manor Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born February 17, 1918 in Marion, KS to Louis and Alice (Wheeler) Hargett. On May 20, 1937 Helen married Melvin W. Norton. Helen moved to Greeley after his passing in 1974. Helen was a homemaker most of her life, but in her earlier years enjoyed working as a medical assistant. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family will remember her story telling, quick wit, and her unforgettable smile. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She is survived by her daughters, Joy Summerfield, Judith Villumsen and husband Borge, all of Greeley; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Billie Homan and Husband Richard of Holton, KS. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; parents; and son, Ronald. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Peabody, KS.
