Fred Charles Wilson

Fred C. Wilson, 62, of Greeley, CO, a man with integrity and a man of God, passed away July 22, 2011, as a result of a cycling accident. He was instantly with Jesus, in the twinkling of an eye. He was born January 30, 1949, in Anthony, KS, to Charles and Sarah Janette (Whitson) Wilson. Fred spent 38 years as an administrator in education. He was an avid hiker and bicyclist; he also loved playing his saxophone and woodworking. His greatest joys were being a grandpa, spending time with family and friends, and eating doughnuts. Fred is survived by his wife Roxi; sons, Bradley Wilson of Asheville, NC, and Adam (Jessica) Williams of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters, Stephanie Wilson (Josh Douglass) of Asheville, NC, and Ashley Jackson of Greeley; grandchildren Aiden and Aurora, brother, Jim (Kristi) of Salida,CO, and sister, Carol Hairell of Grandbury, TX; and in-laws, Billy and Christine Weckwerth of Greeley. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rebecca and sister, Nancy Anne Wilson. Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Victory Christian Fellowship at 6101 W. 10th St. in Greeley. Interment is in Anthony, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "Fred Wilson Memorial Fund” in care of Victory Christian Fellowship, Greeley, CO 80634.
