Thomas Sundby Stevens passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Kenton Manor in Greeley. He was born on June 4, 1935 in Lovell, WY to Theodore and Marie (Sundby) Stevens. At the age of seven the family moved to Greeley where Tom attended school and graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1954. He excelled in many sports, especially tennis and went on to college at Kemper Military School graduating in 1957. From 1958-1963 Tom proudly served in the U.S. Army. During college and the Army he also played competitive golf and tennis. Tom moved back to Greeley and worked at Harsh Hydraulics in Eaton, then at Consumers Oil from 1967 to 1976. In 1972, he married Mary Gigliotti and they had two children. Tom worked at Meadow Gold Dairy from 1976 to 1996, when he retired due to illness. He was an avid fisherman and loved to fish in Wyoming. He also enjoyed history, trivia, road trips with his family, his many collections, and billiards, bowling, tennis and golf which he always played to win. Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Gigliotti-Stevens of Greeley; daughter, Natalie Stevens of Greeley; son T.J. Stevens (Audrey) of Evans; grandchildren, Dorian and Mischa Stevens of Evans; and a sister, Jeannie Stevens Farwig of Parkdale, Oregon. Tom also leaves behind his beloved in-laws in the Gigliotti family and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services include Viewing 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 2-7 p.m. Wednesday with Rosary to follow at 7p.m., all at Adamson Chapel; Mass 2:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church; and Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Parkinson Association of the Rockies” and/or "Don Wellman” B-Battery Plaque, in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue Greeley, CO.
