Orlin "OJ" Dean Jenkins
November 15th, 1948 - December 21st, 2022
Orlin Dean Jenkins, 74, of Greeley, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in Fort Collins. He was born November 15, 1948 in Carroll, NE to Elmo and Verona (Pearson) Jenkins. Orlin grew up in Greeley and graduated from University High School. He enjoyed shooting guns and Ham Radio—his call letters were KØOJ. He was a faithful Morman. Orlin is survived by his siblings; Joyce Schmitz and husband Dale of Evans, Dale Jenkins and wife Sharon of Greeley, Doyle Jenkins and wife Sissie of Walden, and Verla Yacko of Greeley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Darrell Yacko. A life celebration will be held 7:00p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 at Adamson Life Celebration Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Weld County Amature Radio Society in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
