Timothy Landy Torres

Timothy L. “Tim” Torres, 62, of Greeley passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 in Greeley. He was born December 15, 1960 in Longmont to Thomas Jose and Julia Anne (Vasquez) Torres. He grew up in the Berthoud and Loveland areas and developed a deep appreciation for family at an early age that carried throughout his life. Tim graduated from Thompson Valley in 1979 and married Janet Clara Lobato on August 16, 1985 in Fort Collins. Tim was a very dedicated and generous gentleman. He gave selflessly, helping friends and strangers in many different situations. He developed a strong work ethic early on, working in silk screening, later in air freight in Denver and Utah, worked as a DJ for 15 years and also for JBS as the waste water supervisor and lastly for Leprino Foods as a waste water technician. He loved music, playing many different instruments; guitar, drums, bass and played in a band, Timmy T and the Royals and also performed with Rare Moment. He loved sports; baseball, hockey, NASCAR, being in the outdoors and fishing, but most enjoyed the time with his family, especially the grandkids. His faith was very important in his life, receiving all of the sacraments and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Thankful to have shared his life are his wife, Janet, children; Rick (Eunice) Torres, Adam (Tiffany) Torres, Timmy Torres and Brittany (Brandon) Behrens, nine grandchildren; Ricky, Noah, Mia, Sofia, Xaidyn, Zaylee, Zinnia, Libby and Ivy and expecting two more, his parents, Tom and Julia Torres, his brother, Darin (Lexi) Torres and their daughter, Adora and his mother-in-law, Annie Lobato as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. A Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church. A reception will follow at Island Grove.
