JUAN LAGUNA MEDINA SR. June 23, 1944 - July 18, 2023 Juan Laguna Medina Sr. was born June 23, 1944 in Pearsall, Texas to Pablo Medina Sr. and Francisca Laguna. Juan passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family on July 18, 2023 in Greeley, Colorado at the age of 79. Juan worked from a young age and worked hard all his life. Despite working hard all his life he enjoyed working. He met the love of his life Delores, on January 22, 1967 in Colorado after moving from Texas. They spent 56 wonderful years together enjoying all things fun in life, from dances and parties to quiet nights at home with their family. Juan was a construction foreman until he retired, after which he worked in his free time fixing and painting cars. Juan loved watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Juan loved going on drives and going to Texas was where he liked to travel quite often, visiting friends and family. Juan enjoyed working on projects, anything from building and concrete to yard work and tending to his garden. He loved having a garden and spent a lot of time taking care of it. Juan enjoyed cookouts and drinking beer with his family and friends there was no other place he’d rather be than enjoying the company of the people he was close to, other than going up to the casinos in Black Hawk. Juan loved spending quality time with his Great Grandchildren Elvira “Bebe” Rodriguez and Lyric Medina, causing trouble and sneaking sweets and coffee, all while telling his life story. Juan is survived by his loving and caring wife Delores Medina of Greeley, Colorado. His loving and devoted children George Medina, Debbie Medina, Robert Medina, Juan Medina Jr., (of Greeley, CO), and Irene Morales (of Floydada, TX). His beloved grandchildren Ashley Zaragoza and her husband Luke Hartman, Nano Medina and his wife Felicia Martinez-Medina, Robert Medina Jr., Juan Medina III (of Greeley, CO), Briana Medina (of Brighton, Co), Joshua Jesse Morales (of Lockney, TX), Jacob Morales (of Kansas City, KS), Isiah Medina (of Windsor, CO), and Jareina Medina (of Johnstown, CO). Juan is also survived by his 7 Great Grandchildren. Juan is preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Francisca Medina, His siblings Guadalupe Morris, Santos Medina, Paul Medina, Alvino “Seco” Medina, and his Grandson Anthony Zaragoza.
