Charles "Charlie" Naranjo

Charles “Charlie” Naranjo, 71, of Golden, passed away at his home on August 24th, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born August 1, 1952, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Selso and Terecita Naranjo. Charlie was the founder and owner of Muffler King for over 30 years until he retired. He enjoyed spending time traveling with Diana for example, going on twenty-two cruises and going “up the hill” to Blackhawk to enjoy the food (ha ha). He was meticulous about his yard and loved tinkering in the garage. Charlie loved his family very much. He was always there for any one of us. When anyone ever called for car repair, landscaping, or home repairs, He did not hesitate to run to help us. Charlie was full of life, always happy, spread joy wherever he went and enjoyed life to the fullest. Charlie was outgoing and could make friends with anybody and was not timid about starting a conversation. He was never scared to try new things. Charlie loved his wife and son immensely and would do anything for them. Charlie coached and played on many softball teams including men’s, women’s, and co-ed, and has many trophies to show for it. He was enthusiastic about racing as well and knew his way around a car. In his younger days, he raced often with family at Bandimere Speedway. Charlie preceded in death by Selso and Terecita Naranjo (parents), Christopher Michael Naranjo (son), Margaret Padilla, Sadie Garcia (sisters), William Naranjo (brother). Charlie is survived by Diana Naranjo (wife), Elton Naranjo (son), and the following sisters and brothers. Gomecinda Garcia, Rose Naranjo, Lillian Rodriguez, Robert Naranjo (Rachel), Herman Naranjo (Rosa), Leo Naranjo (Janie), Joanne Ochoa (Art), Nick Naranjo (Luanna), and many, many nephews, and nieces.
