Carol Jean Carlson

Carol Jean Carlson, 83, of Greeley passed away peacefully September 9, 2023. Carol was born on June 9, 1940 in Milbank SD to William and Phyllis Petersen. She graduated from Milbank HS in 1958. She met the love of her life, Lloyd G Carlson, while doing one of her favorite activities, roller skating. They were married on July 5, 1959. They had 2 children, Julie and Rick. They moved to Greeley in 1966 where they raised their family and continued to reside. Carol was a devoted Christian and is now with the lord she truly loved. She was a member of her church choir and Christian Women’s club. She was a member of Generations Church in Greeley. She loved her flower garden, reading, puzzles, spending time with grandchildren, crocheting, and traveling in their camper. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd G Carlson of Greeley; children Julie and John Cito of Johnstown, Rick and Nancy Carlson of Greeley; grandchildren Jessica (Matt) Patro of Loveland, Jarron (Lauren) Cito of Greeley, Bryanna Carlson of Deadwood OR; great grandchildren Leo and Enzo Patro of Loveland, Blake and Tripp Cito of Greeley. Sister Marsha (Loren) Ebsen of Greeley, Brother Roger (Christine) Petersen of SD; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother Larry Petersen. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pathways Hospice and The Alzheimer’s Association.
