Charles Harlan Stacy
November 20th, 1932 - June 30th, 2020
Charles Harlan Stacy joined his Lord and Savior on June 30, 2020. He was born on November 20, 1932 to Charles Estel and Carrie Mae Stacy in Heavener, Oklahoma. Charles graduated from high school, went to work in California, then enlisted in the United States Army and serving from 1953 to 1955. After being discharged, he attended junior college, receiving an Associates of Arts degree. Following college, he returned to California where he met and married his beautiful wife June in January 1957. Together they raised five children. Charles has 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. They shared several adventures in moving before settling in Lyons Colorado in 1972 where they lived until 2019. Charles worked for several trucking companies as a driver or dock worker and was a member of the Teamsters Union until his retirement. He was a wonderful, generous man who loved his family, his Lord and his westerns. He was a friend to all and was well respected. Charles is survived by his wife June, son Charles Stacy of Johnstown Colorado, daughter Peggy Edgell of Seminole Oklahoma, son Kenneth (Linda ) Stacy of Stamford Nebraska, son Donal (Mona) Stacy of Johnstown Colorado and daughter Julie (Bryan) Walls of Berthoud Colorado. Also surviving him are his sisters Willa Mae (Chet) Saylor of Wister Oklahoma, Marceille Miller of Wister Oklahoma, and brothers Arnold Stacy of Wister Oklahoma, and Carl Stacy of Bixby Oklahoma along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Norma and Velma and a brother, Burl. An open house Celebration of Life is planned for July 18, 2020 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at their residence in Johnstown Colorado. Inurnment will be in Oklahoma at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. See Obituary for Details
