Mary Frances Davenport died on May 12, 2021 in Happy Valley, Oregon. She was born September 3, 1937 at the home of her grandparents, Taylor and Catherine (Cross) Wright; outside of Lowry City, Missouri. She was the eldest daughter of Fred E and Eathel Francis (Wright) Caffey. Mary was married to William "Bill" Rodney Davenport Jr. on April 14, 1956 in Myrtle Point, Oregon. Bill was a retired member of the Oregon State Police Department and the family lived in Roseburg, Eugene, Cottage Grove, Medford and Portland, Oregon as a result of his assignments. Bill proceeded Mary in death on May 17, 2013. Mary was a licensed Real Estate Agent. She was active in her career in Eugene and Cottage Grove, Oregon. Mary loved working on arts and crafts, sewing projects and genealogy, but dearest to her heart was her family and the time they all spent together. She is survived by her brother Fred E and Lois Caffey of Salem, Oregon; sister Laveda Ann Garcia of Sacramento, California; sister Geraldine Caffey of Corvallis, Oregon; and sister Janice Lee and Brad Maulden of San Antonio, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary’s children are Rebecca Marie and David Albright of Foristell, Missouri; Jack and Barbara Davenport of Jasper, Texas; Dolores Dianne and David Dey of Oregon City, Oregon and Eric and Kimberly Davenport of Salem, Oregon. Mary has 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
