Joe "Al" Albert Martinez
March 3rd, 1940 - November 16th, 2019
Joe "Al" Martinez gained his wings on November 16,2019 in loveland, CO after a battle with dementia. He was born March 3, 1940 to Jerry Martinez Sr. and Mollie Espinosa Martinez in Rouse Co. He had 5 siblings Jerry Martinez Jr., Johnny, Geno, Art and Elizabeth. All have proceded him in death. At a young age his family moved to Loveland, Co. where he has lived since. He is survived by his children from his first marriage (Vicky Velasquez) James Martinez (Darla), William Martinez (Emily), Leonard Wetzler, Leno Wetzler, Christopher Wetzler, and Beverly Carter (Evan). 12 grandkids and great-grandkids. Children from his second marriage (Karen Magrum) Scottie Magrum (Christina), Amy Shaffer (Travis) and Rayann Martinez. 5 grandkids,one great-grandkid and many neices and nephews in both families. He worked many years for Peter Kiewit construction as a carpenter supervisor. After retiring he went to work for Longmont foods as a sanitation supervisor. When retired from Longmont Foods he worked a short time with his sons at their drywall business. He than began helping to raise his 2 granddaughters Chloe and Aspyn who meant the world to him. Over the years he loved hunting and fishing trips with his kids, gardening and cant forget his "people watching" at the grocery store. He was a great cook and everyone loved when he made sopapillias (boonies) or breakfast. His grandkids thought he made the best ramen noodles ever for breakfast. He was also very fond of his couch and watching tv. He loved watching Bonanza and would wake his grandson in the middle of the night to put it on for him. But more than anything he Love, Love, Loved being with his family. His smile, big heart and orneriness with be deeply missed Graveside services will be held on Friday November 22 at 11 am west side of Loveland burial park all the way to the back
