John Russell Seaburg
August 30th, 1946 - May 8th, 2019
John Russell Seaburg, 72, of Loveland passed away on May 8, 2019. John was born in Fargo, ND to Robert and Lucille Seaburg. He grew up in Dilworth, MN, attending Dilworth Public Schools, and graduating in 1964. He attended Moorhead State College graduating in 1968 with a BS degree in education and a minor in German. He joined the United States Air Force, was stationed at Lowery Air Force Base in Denver, CO, during which time he met and married his wife Raye. After being discharged, as a Staff Sargent, he began working at Public Service Company, now Excel Energy, in customer service as a Senior C&I billing analyst. After 20 plus years of service to PSC, John retired and enjoyed his time fishing, fishing and more fishing. On any fall Sunday, one could find him cheering on his Minnesota Vikings. He is survived by his wife Raye of 48 years; daughters Angie (Travis) and Becki (Marc); grandson Kade ("Dances with Ants”); granddaughter Lelia ("Boots”); and his 3 grand dogs Maggie, Lizzy and Gizmo. He is also survived by his sisters Susan (Gerald), Sylvia (Raymond) and Christine; brother Tom (Rosie); nieces Leah (Charlie) and Cindy (Darin); nephews Travis, Michael and Elijah; and his childhood and best friend Jim Kondelis. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lucille Seaburg and brother Joey. In lieu of flowers, as John says they are dead weeds…so no "flowers,” please make a donation to the American Heart Association, Barbara Davis Center for Juvenile Diabetes Research in Aurora, CO and/or to Pathways Hospice in Fort Collins, CO. Services will be held on May 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7755 Greenstone Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80525. Reception to follow at the church.
