John David Goggin

John David Goggin passed away May 27, 2020 peacefully at his home in Loveland, Colorado at the age of 79.  He was born on January 8, 1941 in Denver to Thomas and Marian Goggin.  John joined the United States Coast Guard in 1959 serving four years and was honorably discharged in 1963.  He married Judy Jacobs on August 27, 1964.  They began their journey together in the Denver metro area and moved to Northern Colorado in 1972.  The two were inseparable even to his final moment in life.   John enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, having special time for the two at Blackhawk/Central City, and spending time with family. John worked in construction primarily in the sheet metal industry.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, hunting, and Morgan horses as the kids were growing up.  John and Judy have four children.  He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years; his children Shawn Croner (Jeff), David (Karlin), Cindy Johnson (Todd), and Ted all of Loveland; his grandchildren Jackie Van Hall (Jake), Scott Croner, Tyler and Dylan Johnson, and Connor and Danika Goggin; and three great-granddaughters Jemma, Jessa, and Jacelyn Van Hall; two brothers Tim and Jim and a sister Mariann; and an uncle to many.  He is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at Viegut Funeral Home on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Halcyon Hospice.
