Nancy Ann Elizabeth Schuetz
January 20th, 1931 - June 6th, 2018
Nancy Ann Elizabeth Schuetz passed away the morning of June 6, 2018. Nancy was born on January 20, 1931 in Van Metre, SD to Elizabeth (Dhaenens) and Amos Lemieux. She was the oldest of nine children. Nancy attended grade school in Van Metre, SD. She went to Pierre, SD for eighth grade. Nancy and her brother, Thomas, went to Wisconsin to live with their Aunt Marie while attending high school. After completing 11th grade Nancy moved back home. There she met and married her first husband, Eddie Nicholas. Nancy and Eddie had three children: Carol, Marilyn and Steve. Five days after their youngest child was born Eddie died in a car accident. Nancy moved to Colorado to live near family friends in 1961. Through those friends Nancy met her second husband, Virgil Schuetz. On March 17, 1963 Virgil and Nancy married at the United Church of Christ in Littleton. In 1964 the family moved to Loveland when Virgil started working for Hewlett Packard. They had three more children: Brian, Patricia & David. Nancy was a homemaker and ran an in-home daycare. She was a member at First Congregational Church in Loveland since 1964. Nancy was very involved in the church. Nancy’s hobbies included: gardening, flowers, cooking, camping, fishing, sewing, crafts, bowling, and watching her kids, grandkids and great grandkids in their sporting activities, plays, musicals, recitals and other activities. Nancy is survived by her husband Virgil Schuetz; her four siblings: Cecilia Newsam, Phillip Lemieux, Ambrose Lemieux & Margaret Dayton; six children: Carol (Lyle) Schuetz, Marilyn (Chip) Cummings, Steve (Julie) Nicholas, Brian (Julie) Schuetz, Patricia (Brian) Kukus, David (Krista) Schuetz; seventeen grandchildren: Kevin, Troy, Chad & Justin Schuetz; Benjamin, Aaron & Moriah Cummings; Mitchell, Daniel, Jordan & Allison Nicholas; Joshua, Jeremy & Amber Kukus; Trevor, Shaelyn & Devin Schuetz; and nineteen great grandchildren: Dylan, Cody, Ayla, Kelsi, Kyla, Owen, Alex, Kyle, Novalee, Jager, Zola and Keelyn Schuetz; Rowan and baby Nicholas; Elijah Cummings, Gwendolyn, Zoe, Hayley Kukus and Sarah DeSaire. Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents Amos and Elizabeth Lemieux, her first husband Eddie Nicholas, and her siblings: Thomas Lemieux, Charles Lemieux, Mary Eberly & Marcella Lemieux. Memorial services will be held at First Congregational Church in Loveland on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 3:00pm.
