James "Jim" Edward Haxton
February 1st, 1962 - March 9th, 2023
James Haxton was born in Pullman WA, the second of four children to Gene Haxton and Geraldine Stone-Haxton-Dawson (both deceased). Jim grew up in Eugene, OR until he moved to Oregon City and then Milwaukie in 1996. Jim took great pride and pleasure in working at Goodwill for many years where he made countless friends and met his fiancé Margaret. Jim was a charismatic, fun loving guy who always had a word of advise to offer when it came to cars or anything mechanical. “Heck man” he could tell you every bus route in Portland and remembered every phone number and birthday he ever knew. Birthdays! That was Jim’s favorite day of the year. You could rely on a count down to his next birthday, even if it was 364 days away! Jim loved big trucks, dogs and especially his Nieces and Nephews. He loved to talking to people. Jim didn’t know a stranger, he would share his stories with all that would listen. Jim leaves behind his siblings, Jeff Haxton (Kim) of Austin, TX, Julie Hargrove (Brian) of Nampa, ID, John Haxton (Lynn) of Boring, OR and his adoring Nieces and Nephews, Daniel Haxton, Samantha Haxton, Noah Hargrove and Brenna Hargrove and love of his life Margaret Reed. Memorial is scheduled for May 13, 2023. Details to be announced in the near future.
