David Edward Roy

David Edward Roy, 48 of Loveland, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 22nd of an aortic dissection. David was born November 20th 1971 in Denver, Colorado to Donald Edward Roy Jr. & Terry Lou (Tucker) Roy. David spent his childhood in the Idaho Springs/Georgetown area of Colorado and then moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1986. He graduated from Loveland High School in 1990. Immediately following Highschool he attended Cornell College in Iowa, where he played one season of football. He then moved back to Loveland, Colorado to attend Colorado State University to finish education, however, he ended up finishing it out at the school of hard knocks. In 1992, David started to work in the family business, Blue Ribbon Towing. In 1999, David had the honor of joining the Colorado State Patrol and graduated with honors. Shortly after, he chose to rejoin the family business. In 2006, David married Jessica McDaniel, and together they started a beautiful family. Dave was always known for his cleverness and loyalty. He was an amazing father! Dave had a love for hunting, camping and being with family and friends among so many other things life offered. He is survived by the mother of children, Jessie (McDaniel) Roy, his three children Abigail Rockwell (20), Leahna Roy (13), Clayton Roy (12), his parents Donald Roy Jr., and Terry Roy, brother Donald Roy IV (Tishia Roy), sister Sherri Roy. Cousin Kenny Nelson & family, best friend Paul Tate, along with many other family member and friends. David will be missed by so many. A Celebration of Life for David will be held Saturday, November 14th at 2:00 p.m. located at Ellis Ranch, 2331 Ellis Ranch lane, Loveland, Colorado 80538.
