Donald O. Munro
April 16th, 1929 - June 11th, 2023
Donald O. Munro passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023 at the age of 94. Don was born April 16, 1929 in Napa, California. He was the only child of Orville and Wilda Munro. Don spent his childhood in Napa, graduated from Napa High School and then went on to graduate from University of California, Berkeley. Don met his future wife of 71 years, Beverly, in 1951 on a blind date and they were married in 1952. Upon graduation from Cal, Don enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia for 2 years. After his service, Don and Bev moved back to Napa where he began his career in business sales. Don and Bev welcomed a son, Greg, in 1955 and a daughter, Cathy, in 1957. In 1966 the family moved to Portland, Oregon where Don accepted a position as sales manager at Ameron. After many successful years at Ameron, he retired at the age of 60 in 1989. After retirement, Don and Bev enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family and friends. Don is survived by his wife Beverly, son Greg (Deborah) and daughter Cathy Gossett (Jim). Also grandchildren Molly, Ryan, Heather, Adam, Morgan and Connor and nine great grandchildren. The family will host a Celebration of Life for Don at a later date. Donations in his name may be made to Providence Hospice, Wounded Warrior Project or a charitable organization of you choice.
