Beth Ann Kratochvil

Beth Ann Kratochvil passed away unexpectedly at her home in Firestone, Colorado on April 21, 2021. Beth was born on October 25, 1970 to Paul and Lorna Newhouse in Oakland, California. She grew up in Iowa, graduating from Ballard High School in 1989. Beth went on to complete her degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Northern Colorado, Class of 1993. She was most recently employed as a Paraeducator at Mead Elementary in the Special Education Department. On July 2, 1994, Beth was married to Brian Kratochvil. They went on to have four children: Evan (23), Avery (18), Hayden (15), and Griffin (13). Beth is loved and survived by her husband, Brian Kratochvil; their children, Evan (Grace), Avery, Hayden, and Griffin Kratochvil; her father, Paul Newhouse; her sisters, Janelle Bown (Curt) and Natalie Newhouse; her parents-in-law Dale and Delores Kratochvil; sister-in-law Janice Gibson (Greg); and brother-in-law Keith Kratochvil; seven nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Beth was preceded in death by her mother, Lorna Newhouse. Beth enjoyed quality time with her family, shopping, baking, and watching movies. Her favorite thing was supporting her children while they competed in sports. As a wife and a mother, Beth rooted her family in God’s love, grace, and forgiveness. Even though she has left this physical world, her spirit will always live on through everyone who loves her. Until her family is reunited with her in heaven, they will live each day in her honor so that her love can continue to touch others.
