Margaret Grace Ross
June 14th, 1952 - June 10th, 2021
Maggi Ross passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 10th, 2021 in Loveland, in the comfort of her home a few days before her 69th birthday. Maggi was born in Olympia, Washington to Bert and Betty Rotter. She grew up in Mesa, Arizona. After high school, Maggi joined the Air Force with her friend, Aina Lenda. She moved to northern Colorado at the end of her time in the Air Force. In 1979, she met her husband, Stan, through mutual friends from Hewlett Packard, where they both worked. They married a year later. They were married 39 years which they spent in Loveland. Maggi worked for Hewlett Packard in Northern Colorado for over thirty years working in Information Technology. She also greatly enjoyed a summer working with her daughter at Walt Disney World. Maggi had a deeply personal relationship with Jesus, as well as the church community at Message of Life Ministries and Good Shepard Church. She loved traveling, exploring new places and was fascinated with investigating everything she encountered. Maggi cherished spending time with her grandchildren and extended family. Some of her favorite hobbies were painting landscapes and reading novels. After her husband recovered from a burn injury in 2010, they volunteered regularly at the Burn Unit at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, encouraging burn patients and their families with Stan’s rehabilitation story. Those who knew Maggi remember her for the way that she loved people. Maggi never hesitated to go the extra mile for anyone in need. She always prioritized time with family, near and far. We will miss her wisdom, kindness and strength to her family and community. She was the cornerstone of our family. After the passing of her husband in March of 2020, she found great joy and comfort in growing even closer with her kids and grandkids. She is survived by her children Christy (Matt) Owens and Josh Ross, her grandchildren Liam and Grace, and her siblings Dan Rotter, Teresa Potter, Ann Newman, John Rotter and Jim Rotter, as well as numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Stan. A Celebration of Life will be held at Good Shepherd Church in Loveland on August 28th at 10am.
