Jeff Bollinger was born in Hopewell, Virginia on June 29th, 1962. He died in Parshall, CO on June 23, 2021 — just six days before his 59th birthday. He was in Colorado delivering a load to a mine in the Rocky Mountains at the time of his death. Jeff was a retired US Army Veteran and a truck driver for 20+ years. He loved life on the road. Before that, he served in the army as a Staff Sergeant and Helicopter Mechanic. He retired from the 101st Airborne in Fort Campbell, KY. Jeff earned many awards during his service, including Army Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medals, Army Good Conduct Medals, and Overseas Service Ribbons. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband — a true family man. To know him, was to instantly love his goofy ways. He always had a big ole’ grin glued to his face. Jeff loved fishing, gardening, tinkering with metals, animals, volcanoes, and being outdoors. He loved laughing and telling jokes, but also giving history lessons to his kids and grandkids. Most of all, he loved taking care and providing for his family. Memorial donations may be made to Veteran Affairs 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240 and to the charity, Truckers Final Mile (hyperlink: www.truckersfinalmile.org) which reunites deceased truck drivers to their families 3301-R Coors Blvd NW #293, Albuquerque, NM 87120
