Gary Francis Richardson
April 8th, 1942 - July 12th, 2021
On Monday, July 12, 2021, Gary Francis Richardson, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 79. Gary was born on April 8, 1942 at his grandma’s farm in Warren County, Indiana to Roy and Eileen (Redwine) Richardson. Gary graduated from Pine Village High School in 1960. After two years in the Peace Corps in Ecuador, he graduated with a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Purdue University. He married Clara Jane Kimbro on September 6, 1975 in Harvey, IL and returned to Lafayette, Indiana in 1977 where they raised their two daughters, Erin and Lauren. Gary spent many years working in retail with numerous companies including F.W Woolworth, Sears, Wickes Lumber, and ZEE Medical. He was deeply involved at West Lafayette Christian Church, and after moving to Loveland, Colorado in 2011, at DaySpring Christian Church. Gary enjoyed volunteering at Hearts & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center and Food Bank for Larimer County. Gary had a passion for Spanish and Latin American cultures and made numerous mission trips to Argentina. He is survived by his wife Clara Richardson, daughters Erin Wells (Alex) of Louisville, KY and Lauren Beyer (Brian) of Littleton, CO, and three grandsons Liam, Greyson, and Cole Beyer. He also leaves two sisters Teri Richardson of Nashville, TN and Jill Hartwich (Walt) of Frankfort, IN. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 7th at 3:00pm at DaySpring Christian Church, 8005 Highland Meadows Pkwy, Fort Collins, CO 80528. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Heart & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center or Food Bank for Larimer County.
