Cynthia Myna Becker
October 27th, 1942 - August 9th, 2021
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Cynthia "Cindy” Myna Becker passed away on August 9, 2021 at Pathways Hospice in Loveland, Colorado. Cindy so bravely fought Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Cindy was born on October 27, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Phillip and Erna (Dally) Schillaci and graduated from Luther North High School in Chicago. As a young teenybopper in 1955, Cindy was riding her bike around the neighborhood in Chicago and saw her school chum Art playing cards on the front porch with his pal, Bill, who caught Cindy’s eye. Smitten Cindy continued to ride her bike around the block. Little did Cindy know that Cupid had also struck Bill, who told Art he was going to marry that beautiful girl on the bicycle someday. To expedite the process of meeting his future bride, Bill laid a couple of tacks on the sidewalk to give Cindy’s bike a flat tire in front of the house next time she rode by the house. His plan worked perfectly and Bill and Cindy married on March 23, 1960 in Chicago. Bill and Cindy had two children – Kathy and Billy. The family moved to Berthoud in 1970. Bill and Cindy moved to Loveland in the early 80’s where Cindy worked for the north King Soopers for many years. Cindy was a masterful cook and baker, spoiling her family with delicious meals and treats. She loved to play bridge and played in local bridge groups for ages. Cindy loved her pet dogs throughout the years. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. Cindy and her whole family enjoyed numerous trips to the Disney parks together. Las Vegas and Paris were a couple of her other favorite travel locations. And the Colorado Rockies have lost an avid fan in Cindy. Cindy is survived by her cherished husband Bill, her daughter Kathy (Brian) Gross and son Billy (Jill) Becker; her grandchildren Christopher (Liz) Larmon, Kevin Larmon, Brittany Becker (Nick Davis), and Billy Becker; her great-grandchildren Alyssa Larmon, Oliver Larmon and Vanessa Davis; numerous cousins and friends. Services will be at Viegut Funeral Home on Monday, August 16 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing 1 hour prior to services. Cremation should be completed. Precious Mom / Grandma "Gram” / Oma – our hearts ache at the loss of you. You have been a wonderful blessing to our family. We will remember you always with love and joy.
