Robert "Rob" Jay Spencer
September 13th, 2021
Robert "Rob” Jay Spencer, Jr., of Loveland, CO, just 66 years old, died unexpectedly on Monday September 13, 2021, from a heart condition. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. He was born on July 4, 1955, attended and graduated Loveland High School in 1974, and lived in Loveland most of his life. Rob owned his own business, Northern Colorado Taxidermy, where he mastered the craft to become an excellent taxidermist. His mounts will serve as memories in many homes around the area. He also built beautiful homes in Northern Colorado with his father, Spencer and Sons Construction. Rob had many hobbies, including hunting, rebuilding antique cars, fishing, avid outdoorsman, and being a dad and grandpa. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Rob loved talking with friends in his shop. Anyone who knew Rob was touched by his kindness, humor, and mild temperament. He was truly needed for advice and was always a source of positivity. He dearly loved his wife, Sharon, and enjoyed 46 years of marriage. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Williams) Spencer, his son Gerald Spencer (Amy Morrow Spencer), and was a loving grandfather to two grandsons, Seamus Jay Spencer and Pollux Morrow as well as a brother David Spencer (Diann Spencer) and Sister Carol Spencer and a connector to numerous cousins, family and friends who all loved him for who he was. Rob was predeceased by his mother JoAnne Spafford and his father Robert Jay Spencer, Sr. A memorial is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday September 20, 2021, at the Calvary Church Derby Hill-207 19th St SE, Loveland, followed by a celebration of life gathering to share memories. We will miss Rob dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with him. We will always feel his presence in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in memory of Robert.
