Ambrocio Rios Alfaro
December 7th, 1931 - November 4th, 2021
Ambrocio "Chocho” Rios Alfaro Devoted father, uncle, and grandfather. Ambrocio Rios Alfaro, 89, of Ault died Thursday November 4th, 2021 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley Colorado. Ambrocio was born on December 7, 1931 in Catarina Texas, to Jesus Alfaro and Benitia Rios. He loved to tell stories to his loved ones to make them laugh, even if at times those stories were fictional. We all loved to hear them and laugh with him. Other hobbies were doing yard work, fixing things around the house, and spending time with his grandkids. He worked as a farmer most of his life in the Ault area. Ambrocio later married Celestina "Tina” Moreno, the two were each other's long life companions and friends. They didn’t have children, but were blessed to raise three nephews as their own. He was an active member of Saint Peter's catholic church. Ambrocio is survived by his children Janie Alfaro "husband Henry Nunez,” Cassandra Moreno, and son Anthony Moreno. Four grandchildren Henry Alfaro Nunez, Adrin Alfaro Nunez, Monica Alfaro Nunez, and Felicia Alfaro Nunez. Two brothers Francisco Alfaro, Mario Alfaro, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Celestina Alfaro, four sisters, Earmina Gomez, Vicky Gomez, Anna Alfaro, Olga Miranda, and his parents Jesus Alfaro and Benitia Rios. Ambrocio especially will be remembered for his stories and his fiery spirit that served to strengthen everyone he met. The visitation will be Friday November 12th, at 8:30 am at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Greeley Colorado. Funeral services will be held Friday November 12th, at 9:00 am at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Greeley Colorado.
