James (Jay) William Dixon, passed away on April 9, 2022, near his home in Loveland, Colorado. He was born on October 13, 1972, in Loveland, Colorado to James and Janice Dixon. He was the last of 4 children and grew up in Loveland, and spent his childhood surrounded by friends and fun. He met his wife, Kendra, by chance one night in a K-Mart parking lot, and they married in January 1993. They were blessed with two children, Devin and Kelsey. At the time, he was employed in the HVAC industry, but left that to be home with his children until they were both in school. They were his light, and he loved being with them when they were young and was so proud of them as adults. His true passion was aviation, and his proudest accomplishment was earning his pilot’s license. He loved to take friends and family up in the air to show them a different perspective on the world. He later would find his career path in aviation as well, managing the operations for regional airports in the area. This also allowed him a unique opportunity to pursue another passion of his - photography, and many of his aviation photographs can be seen in various airports across the country. Jay’s impact on people was wide and deep. He was able to connect with people instantly, and he was always willing to help anyone who needed it. His laugh was infectious, and he was always playing pranks on people, and loved to make others laugh. That laugh and that love will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Jan Dixon. He is survived by his wife, Kendra (Pauli) Dixon; his son, Devin Dixon; his daughter, Kelsey Dixon; his granddaughter, Nicole Dixon; his brother, Joseph Dixon; his sister, Jean Dixon; his brother, Jeff Dixon, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. His life will be celebrated in an intimate family gathering, per his wishes.
