Genevieve L McCartney, 86, of Loveland, CO died February 15, 2023. She was born Aug. 4, 1936 in Loveland, CO to Henry and Katharine Shaffer. Genevieve was raised in Loveland. She married Milton (Rod) McCartney at Mountain View Presbyterian Church on November 6, 1965. Genevieve worked at various businesses around Loveland while being supportive of her husband and raising four children. She enjoyed spending time with family, bowling and gambling. She is survived by her husband Rod of Loveland, daughter, Geana (John) Roehrig, of Fort Collins, Sons, Michael McCartney (Mindy) of Loveland, Patrick (Tami) McCartney of Loveland, Becci Maestas (Tom) of Jackson, FL. Grandchildren: Amber (Chris) Berg, Brittany (Brian) Woolard, Austin (Erin) Hill, Ryne Maestas, Kayla McCartney, Ryan McCartney, Cassondra McCartney, Caitlyn McCartney, Trynt McCartney & Aubrey McCartney and 9 Great Grandchildren, Sisters, Pearl Riechert, Nadine Antonio, Elvera Kasten. She was preceded in death by Son, Ty K McCartney, Sisters, Lillian Pakuer, Francis Dumler and Brother, Kenneth Shaffer. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM. On Saturday, February 25th, 2023 at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 N. Lincoln Avenue, Loveland, CO 80538.
