Charlie T. Smith, 88, of Aurora died May 8, 2014. He was born August 19, 1925, in The Dalles to David and Bessie (Miller) Smith. He served with honors in the U.S. Army 1943-1946 during WWII. Charlie was an ironworker with Local 29 for more than 62 years. Survivors include his sons; Ernie, or Lyons, Harold, of Forest Grove, and Charlie, of Aurora; daughters: Charlynn Stewart, of Nipomo, California and Patricia, of Graham, Washington. A service will be held for Charlie on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Canby Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Aurora Community Cemetery Arrangements entrusted to Canby Funeral Chapel. www.canbymolallafuneralchapels.com
