Carol Jane Schultz

Carol Jane Palombi-Schultz, born May 17, 1946 in Rockford, IL to Frank and Vira Palombi. She lived in Rockford for a short time until they moved to a farm west of Orfordville, WI. She attended Orfordville Public School then went onto College at UW-Wisconsin-Stout and received her masters degree in Family Consumer Education. In 1968 she married Royce Schultz and started her career as a 4-H extension agent in Pepin CO, Durand, WI. Their daughter Sarah was born in 1974 and then moved to Colorado in 1984. Carol loved working with people, once they moved to Colorado Carol became a 4-H Youth Extension Agent for Larimer County for several years until retiring in 2003. During her time she was also a Mary Kay Beauty consultant. Carol received many awards while working with CSU, loved to travel and collect her costume Jewelry, hats, and purses. The last few years of her life she battled cancer. Carol is survived by her husband Royce Schultz of Loveland, CO; daughter Sarah (Andy) Magruder; granddaughter Audrina Whatley; sisters Dr. Barbara (Jon) Palombi-Vawter Lawton, OK; Elaine (Bill) Smallwood of TN; Karen Macaulay of Berlin, WI; Susan (Mark) Bunton of Rochester, MN; brothers Robert Palombi Hayward, WI and Thomas (Billie) Palombi of Orfordville, WI, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Vira Palombi, oldest brother Randall of Orfordville, WI, brother-in-law Don Macaulay Berlin, WI. We would like to thank North Shore Health and Rehab and their staff, Riverbend Health and Rehab and their staff for providing comfort and support over the last four months. Memorial service will be on February 24, 2024 at 11:00am at Zion Lutheran Church in Loveland, CO. Service will also be provided by Zoom.
