Billy Anna Colvin was born July 21st 1929 and passed away at home September 23rd 2023. She was 94 years old. Billy Anna was born to Hugh Thomas Colvin and Merla Alice (Crall) Colvin in Kendrick, OK. She was born the 1st of three children with two younger brothers. Her childhood was spent in Houston, TX. When Billy Anna was high school age the family moved to Denver and she graduated from Denver’s South High School in 1947. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University for one year where she met her future husband Bill Welch. Bill joined the USAF July 1, 1948 and was honorably discharged March 20, 1950. During his enlistment Bill and Billy Anna were married October 9th, 1949 at Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. After his discharge they settled in Denver, CO. Bill and Billy Anna had three sons; William “Pierce” 1950, Hugh “Kent” 1955 and Kyle Wayne in 1960. They were married for 73 years at Bill’s time of passing. Billy Anna was a homemaker and a stay at home mom raising their three boys. Over the years Bill, along with many friends and family called her by her nick-name BA. In addition to her parents, Billy Anna was preceded in death by her husband William Welch, her brother Kaye Colvin and grandson Ian Welch. She is survived by her brother Gail Colvin, sons Pierce (Kathy) Welch, Kent (Dawn) Welch and Kyle Welch. Grandchildren Kathy Stevens, Stephanie Johnson, Aaron Welch, Michael Welch, Annelyse Welch, William Pierce “Liam” Welch, Bonnie Hughes, Justin Welch, Treaven Welch and Kyla Welch. She also has 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral for Billy Anna will be held Friday, October 13th, 10:00 at Calvary Community Baptist Church, 11980 Irma Dr, Northglenn, CO. Interment following is at 2:00, October 13th at Ft Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO.
