Carolyn D. Threatt

Charlotte- Mrs. Threatt, 82, died Sunday, May 18, 2014 at The Oaks at Town Center in Harrisburg. She was born November 7, 1931 in Charlotte, NC, daughter of the late John Madison Dunn and Ella Purser Dunn. Mrs. Threatt was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1950 and spent over 37 years working with children at Brooks Daycare, Kiddie Corner Day School and after her retirement, at Back Creek Preschool and Academy. She is survived by her children, David Threatt (Marilee) of Harrisburg, NC, Elaine Galloway (Ben) and Nancy Threatt, of Charlotte; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Ollie Dunn, brother-in-law, Ralph Cochrane, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Threatt was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Franklin Threatt, brothers, Ray Dunn, Guy Dunn, and Johnny Dunn, and by a sister, Evelyn Dunn Cochrane. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20th at Back Creek A.R.P. Church, 1821 Back Creek Church Rd., Charlotte, NC 28213. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Back Creek Church. Burial will be private.
